Sony IBC

Campaign theme and related collateral for Europe’s premier broadcast industry event.

Brief

Every year Sony are one of the main exhibitors at the IBC event in Amsterdam. For the 2015 IBC, we were delighted to be asked to come up with the campaign creative and imagery that would run through Sony’s stand and would appear on all other related material. The creative imagery had to support Sony as a brand leader and innovator within what is an important professional market for them.

Solution

Underpinning Sony’s core proposition of Image. IP. Workflow, we came up with an engaging and vibrant multi-coloured wave that portrayed diversity and innovation, ideals which are at the heart of Sony’s broadcast messaging. Following on from designing the overall imagery, the creative was rolled out onto the exhibition stands, press ads, animations and online landing page. We were also heavily involved in creating the backdrop for the keynote speech that was given by the head of Sony Professional in Europe.

Results

The engagement and consistency of the campaign creative was very well received both in Europe and globally, and as a result is still used today as their main foundation imagery for a lot of their event collateral, both within the broadcast sectors and other markets. We also joined the Sony team in Amsterdam to provided onsite support during the event. By being on site, any last minute changes to presentations and animations could be made with ease, ultimately ensuring quality and consistency throughout.
