Website redesign and the creation of an online information portal for special needs' charity, SNAP.
The website for local charity SNAP (Special Needs and Parents) had become dated and wasn’t doing everything that they needed it to do. The charity wanted a website which would not only reflect their fun, vibrant personality, but which would give them greater control over its functionality and ensure that it was accessible to everyone who relies on their services. Ultimately, they wanted to move their site away from being a simple brochure site, and create an online information portal, which would be of a greater help to the hundreds of families that rely on their services across Essex.
It was crucial that we created a site which not only offered an enhanced user experience for all, but which would underpin SNAP’s core values and support their digital strategy. The charity required a website which would not only be visually appealing, but which would be accessible to all, including the many people with disabilities that regularly access the site. Ease of use was therefore essential, and the new website – and its inbuilt directory – feature key elements to aid the user experience, such as advanced search capabilities, accessibility features and fully responsive controls.
Working closely with the SNAP team, Blue Serif worked alongside the charity to bring their vision of a fun, intuitive and professional website to life. The new website offers a much cleaner user experience, yet is still appealing to the families that use the charity’s services through its bright and fun nature. It was a project which was a real pleasure to work on, and through a close working relationship with the charity, we transformed the site into a fun, vibrant, easy-to-use information portal which not only underpins their fantastic work, but which also captures their vivacious spirit!
