Seeing a project evolve from its very inception into a complete brand is always exciting. Which is why when we were asked to create the naming, branding and website design for brand new industrial property venture Q-Space we were more than willing to get stuck in!
Beautiful architecture goes hand in hand with beautiful design. Which is why we knew that the Cliffe Villas property development needed a chic look and feel for its branding and creative support.

The Essex Digital Awards celebrate digital media in all of its forms. Having been finalists in 2017, we were delighted to find ourselves finalists again in 2018, this time around in three categories. LG Networks asked us to create a video to support their stand presence at the Business Show. The video needed to be engaging enough to attract passers by to their stand, as well as showcase the services that they offer within the fields of voice, data and security network installation. Using motion graphics which are both reminiscent of fibre cabling and mirror LG Networks’ logo, the creative flows effortlessly across the screen before pockets of information about the services on offer burst out and catch the eye. Each information bubble is connected to other icons as they float on screen, to represent connectivity.
In early 2018, we were absolutely delighted to win the Community award at the FSB East of England Awards! We love working with and supporting so many amazing charities, including SNAP, Brentwood Cathedral and Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, as well as getting involved with local community groups and schools in and around Brentwood. It helps that we have such a great local community!
Just when the elves thought they’d be able to have all of the advent fun, along came our cheeky little colleague the Blue Sheriff to knock them off the shelf! As a Christmas campaign for an animal charity local to us, Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, we helped the Sheriff to get up to all sorts of mischief, posting his photos on his social media channels every day throughout advent. For every like that he received on social media, we donated money towards the animal sanctuary, eventually raising £525.50 for Hopefield! It was lovely to get some local businesses involved with the campaign, and we had a lot of fun whilst raising money for a very worthy cause!
When we were shortlisted in the Creative Communications and Digital Business of the Year category, at the Essex Business Excellence Awards, it was a lovely recognition of how far we’ve come as a creative agency. This category celebrates Essex’s wealth of creative businesses, and recognises the businesses that have made major strides in this field, so it was exciting to be shortlisted as finalists!
Having worked with Scott from Eseyo and Jill from Attract and Engage for many years, 2017 saw us form a creative collaboration. Having taken on Jemma, who specialises in video production, at the start of the year, we have begun to expand into offering video and animation services. With style and sophistication at its core, the rebranding of hair salon Vogels was a real pleasure to work on.
Here at Blue Serif, we pride ourselves on looking after the wellbeing of our team. Without our team, we simply wouldn’t be able to meet our client’s needs, so making sure that they are happy, comfortable in their abilities and willing to go the extra mile and offer as much flexibility to the company as we are to them, strengthens the Blue Serif brand. When we won the Employer of the Year category at the regional Essex Business Awards therefore, it was lovely to have our approach to our brilliant team recognised!
The Essex Digital Awards bring together the finest in the business to celebrate all things digital. Stepping out of our comfort zone – just a little! – allowed us to push the boundaries when it came to creating this sting for Sony Professional. Showcasing their Finity projector technology across Europe, we were super excited to design the creative behind this high-end animation.
Creation of vibrant branding, event collateral and working on the bespoke print solutions for the Brightstar Financial weekend away, taking our inspiration from the vivid greens, yellows and reds which are synonymous with Portugal.

Creating all sorts of mischief in the local community and beyond, his duties now include company promotion and charity campaigns. He can often be found accompanying our director, Matt, on foreign holidays and terrorising our clients!
Becca has joined the Blue Serif team as junior designer after finishing a year’s apprenticeship and gaining experience within a leading photography studio. Nicola is the Blue Serif Office Manager, coming originally from a background in travel. As well as making sure everyone is stocked up with pens and paperclips, she is also our creative copywriter, having freelanced for many years alongside her day job. Her love of all things language extends to speaking German after living in Vienna for a year as part of her degree. Nicola dreams of one day being a bestselling author, but until that time she’ll have to channel her creativity into her award winning mummy blog.

We added our own touch of digital beauty to an area of natural beauty: we love getting involved in community based projects such as this, a new destination website build for a community park and its surrounding areas.
With our new office in Regency House, we’re now part of the thriving community at the heart of the small but vibrant town of Brentwood, Essex. Our enviable location allows us to be just a stone’s throw away from central London in one direction and East Anglia in the other. With Crossrail due to open shortly, London has never been closer to us, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t enjoy the odd bit of TOWIE celebrity spotting whilst on our home turf, too!
In a very dry and serious market place, we gave this new firm of recruitment specialists a contemporary and unique, yet still professional, feel to their branding, website and a range of creative assets, which extended to both on and offline marketing material.

In her spare time, Kate can usually be found in one of her happy places – either her garden or Southwold – or playing hide and seek with her little boy.
