Creation of the technology company’s Christmas promotion and giveaway app.


The Blue Serif team were tasked with adding a bit of extra jingle to Garmin’s “Give a Garmin” Christmas promotion. As part of the campaign, the technology brand wanted to make customers aware of the range of products they had to offer, as well as increasing their social media presence and potentially create new customer conversions.


In order to increase the brand’s visibility to potential customers, we created an interactive advent calendar that gave users the chance to win a different product every day during the festive season. The app had to be developed across both iOS and Android devices, as well as accessible on desktop and tablet devices. Once a user entered each daily draw, they were given the opportunity to spread some Christmas cheer and share their entry on social media, and as a result increase their chances of winning.


Proving to be highly successful, our simple but effective creative solution allowed people to easily and quickly submit their entry on a daily basis. The overall creative was in line with their national campaign, and the viral nature of the giveaway meant that it was promoted not only online, but also through other third parties. As a result, Garmin were able to increase their new acquisition database by approximately 30,000 new sign ups, with around 25,000 shares across the various social media outlets, making the campaign highly visible to new customers.
